Synthetic organic chemist for Polytherics in Camden, London – a company specialising in “the use of biomedical polymers for the optimisation of therapeutic drugs.” The job will involve preparing and characterising polymer-based reagents for the site-specific PEGylation of therapeutic proteins and peptides. Degree required; experience with derivitisation of polymers and industrial experience advantageous. An exciting opportunity to join a new (2002) company – and for those with a penchant for craft beer, their labs are a 3-minute walk from the BrewDog Camden Bar due to open this year.

Process chemist in Cork, Ireland to support Production with process development, robustness and optimisation; tech transfer and investigating process deviations. Graduate (or PhD) with 2-3 years experience in process chemistry.

Inorganic chemist in Northamptonshire for a chemical testing provider. Joining the metals analysis team (ICP-MS), working mainly on leather substrates and nickel testing. BSc + industrial experience with ICP-MS required.

Development scientist (£28k + benefits + “prestige of working for a high technology company”) for a 6-month contract in Swindon. Prepare sample components using coating techniques. Lab experience required, with only a “knowledge of chemistry”.
